The holidays aren’t just about the gifts we give, they’re about the community we build. This Thanksgiving weekend, Discover Dover NH invites you to slow down, stay local, and experience the magic of a city that shines brightest when we support one another.

There’s something extra special about Dover on the first Friday of the month - the lights are glowing, shops are bustling, and neighbors are out enjoying the simple joy of shopping and dining local. First Fridays, also known as Shop Local Late, invites you to explore downtown from 5–8 PM, when our local businesses stay open a little later to welcome you in.

Dover is about to shine brighter than ever—and you can help make it happen! Our downtown is getting a holiday glow-up thanks to a new community initiative called Festive Fronts. From twinkling lights and colorful storefronts to a sparkling community tree and winter murals, we’re bringing warmth and wonder to the streets of Dover this season. 🧙‍♀️ Something magical is brewing in downtown Dover! On Sunday, October 19, the Witches Market returns with a spellbinding mix of vendors, artisan goods, crystals, tarot, and more. Central Avenue will transform into a pedestrian marketplace filled with music, seasonal treats, and plenty of community spirit. Costumes and witch hats are encouraged — so bring your magic and join the fun.

🍎 Apple Harvest Day is almost here! On Saturday, October 4, downtown Dover will transform into a bustling street festival with over 300 vendors, live entertainment, family activities in Henry Law Park, and all the seasonal flavors you love. It’s one of New Hampshire’s biggest and most beloved fall traditions — and you won’t want to miss it.

From August through December, Downtown Dover is hosting a special event on the first Friday of each month to bring the community together and support small businesses. Called "First Fridays," this event runs from 5 to 8 p.m. and invites locals and visitors alike to shop, dine, and explore the heart of the city.

The countdown is on. The Dover Bouquet Walk is happening Saturday, June 7, and it’s a perfect way to welcome the season, support small businesses, and leave with something beautiful in your hands.

Spring has officially arrived in Dover, and it’s never looked better. Thanks to amazing local volunteers, downtown is sparkling clean, flower beds are blooming, and the trees are bursting into green. The only thing missing? You!

Are you ready to fall in love with Dover all over again? Whether you’re a longtime local or just discovering the charm of our downtown, the Dover 25 in 25 Challenge is your invitation to explore, enjoy, and share the best of what our city has to offer.

Downtown Dover is sprinkled with so many hidden treasures, but nestled right in the train parking lot is a gem that bagel aficionados will swear by: Bubby’s Bagel and Deli.

As you enter the café, you’ll be greeted by a bright and welcoming interior. Large windows offer stunning views of the Cocheco River, providing the perfect backdrop for a relaxing meal or snack.

As the crisp air and golden leaves settle over downtown Dover, it’s the perfect time to channel your inner Lorelai and Rory Gilmore with a coffee shop tour.

The idea is pretty simple, just bring in your (clean) bottle you want to fill, weigh it on the scale and then fill it with whatever product you need. When it’s time to checkout, the weight of the bottle is removed and you only pay for the product.
