Aplomb Gallery

In 2021, contemporary artist Danielle Festa began painting trauma survivors to honor their resilience and strength. With the support of a dedicated board, this project has grown into a powerful initiative, using art to foster hope and healing.

Mission and Objective The Aplomb Project is a 501(c)3 organization that uses the transformative power of art to uplift trauma survivors, promote creative healing and present inclusive artistic opportunities. With suppport from donors and sponsors we:

-Gift inspiring oil portraits of resilience to trauma survivors -Distribute art kits including expressive sketchbooks to survivors and organizations who work with them -Host inclusive public art exhibitions and events that highlight and celebrate the strength of survivors -Foster an interactive community platform for survivors and allies -Hold healing workshops including creative arts, art history chats, poetry readings and writing activities -Publish a biannual Portrait Project book featuring inspirational paintings, stories, and poems -Award art scholarships to survivors, so they may benefit from the healing powers of artistic expression without financial barriers

Aplomb is a contemporary portrait gallery and creative space in downtown Dover. Featuring group/solo exhibitions, workshops and home of The Aplomb Project.
