On view: November–December 2025
Opening Reception: Saturday, December 6 | 6:00–9:00 PM
The Art Center, 1 Washington St., Suite 1177, Dover, NH
The Art Center presents Liberty and Justice for All, a bold and thought-provoking exhibition featuring the work of Judith Heller Cassell and Diane St. Jean. Through sculpture, assemblage, and printmaking, both artists explore the complexity of justice, the legacy of violence, and the human capacity for empathy and change.
Curated by Art Center founder Rebecca Proctor, the exhibition invites viewers to reflect on the ideals of freedom and compassion in a time of global unrest. Proctor, known for fearless curatorial projects like The Face of Feminism and Normalizing Abortion, continues her tradition of showcasing socially resonant art that sparks meaningful dialogue.
Cassell’s mixed media and sculptural works offer a powerful response to humanity’s ongoing struggles with violence and oppression, while St. Jean’s prints call attention to the ripple effects of individual action—reminding us that resistance, restoration, and joy all play a role in shaping the future.
This compelling exhibition runs through the end of December, with a public reception and artist meet-and-greet scheduled for Saturday, December 6, from 6:00 to 9:00 PM.
